I decided to pick up a new eyeshadow palette! I know some women prefer larger palettes with a great color selection, but I prefer smaller, more portable palettes. Today’s eyeshadow is one of Maybelline’s City Mini Palettes -this one is the Chill Brunch Neutrals palette.
To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the fourth and fifth shades, the bronze and gunmetal shades. While they showed up metallic in a finger swatch, the colors were barely noticeable on my lids with a brush. That said, I love the cream, the rose gold, the lilac and the plum shades. They are all very pretty.
Here is the super natural look I created, using the rose gold and plum shades.
If you’re looking for a palette with a huge punch of color, this is not the palette for you. If, however, you are looking for a palette that is super natural and perfect for daytime looks, you’ll probably enjoy this little rendition. I know I will be getting some use out of it!
I thought it would be fun to try a purple highlighter! Highlighters are a relatively recent addition to my beauty routine, and I love them! Today I am reviewing the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter in the shade 100.
(This highlighter was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul.)
I love this highlighter! It is definitely a bolder choice than my Physician’s Formula Butter Highlighter. It is both glittery and metallic, and brings a fun vibe to my makeup. You can definitely see the purple sheen, which I was hoping for.
This would look great as part of a fun festival-inspired look or even a glam, New Year’s look! I think it would also be fun as an eyeshadow.
I went on a shopping haul at Walmart! Sometimes you just need a little treat. 😊 I brought a lot of face masks, a few eyeliners, a couple of lipsticks and a bottle of bubble bath. I will be reviewing all of these items in the future.
Here is what I picked up:
—L’Oréal Rouge Signature Matte Lip Ink in the shade: I Achieve ($8.98)
—Freeman Melting Sugar Matcha Ice Cream Face Mask ($1.32)
—NYX That’s the Point Super Edgy Eyeliner ($9.97)
—Freeman Sugar Melting Rose Gummy Bear Face Mask ($1.32)
—Maybelline Sensational Matte Metallics Lipstick in Copper Spark ($5.64)
—Freeman Neon Vibes Ghosted Peel Off Face Mask ($1.32)
—Hard Candy Stroke of Gorgeous Eyeliner in Deep Sea ($5)
—Freeman Glacier Water + Peony Gel Cream Face Mask ($1.32)
—Revlon Color Stay Eyeliner in Sapphire ($5.33)
—Freeman Feeling Beautiful Watermelon Face Mask ($1.32)
—Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath in Glow & Radiance ($4.87)
—Freeman Feeling Beautiful Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Clay Face Mask ($1.32)
I thought it would be fun to put together a drugstore beauty wishlist for this 2019 Holiday Season. All items can be bought at Walmart.
The first item is the Physician’s Formula Powder Palette Blush in the shade: Blushing Rose. I like that it is a cool toned pink. It would pair well with a purple highlighter that I plan on purchasing in the future. You can buy it for $6.15 on Amazon, or $6.39 at Walmart.
I absolutely love this hair serum! It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product works as a leave-in conditioner, a balm to tame flyaways and a heat protectant. You can buy it for $22.54 on Amazon or $24.99 at Walmart.
Next is the Profusion Mattes Mini Artistry Eyeshadow Palette. The various shades of brown would go great with my blue eyes, and the pan sizes are generous. You can buy it for $5.95 on Amazon or $4.98 at Walmart.
The Maybelline Sensations Peach Poppy lipstick is next on my wishlist. I love peachy coral lipsticks, and this shade looks perfect for me. I love the creamy, satin feel of these lipsticks. You can buy it for $5.11 on Amazon or $6.99 at Walmart.
The NYX Love Lust Disco Let’s Groove eyeshadow palette caught my eye when I was at Walmart last trip. It has beautiful shades in bronze, gold, green, blue, silver and black that I would love to try. I hope the metallic shades are as pigmented as they look in the pan. You can buy it at Walmart for $9.98.
The Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Liquid Eyeliner in the shade: Deep Brown is last on my list. I am on the search for a brown liquid eyeliner, as it would look more natural on my fair skin. You can buy it on Amazon for $6.49 or at Walmart for $8.74.
