Sadly, it’s not super visible either. It’s better than the CoverGirl Electric Green Eyeliner, but not by much. Also, the pencil is hard and painfully drags across the skin.
I think I will try a colored liquid eyeliner next time. Maybe it will have more pigment.
I decided to try a unique eyeliner. It’s the CoverGirl Defining Moment Eyeliner in Electric Green. You can purchase on Amazon for $5.99.
(This eyeliner was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul.)
I wish the color was a little more vibrant. It barely shows up on my eyelids. I will say that it makes for a super subtle, natural look. It also pairs well with my eye color.
The formula is super creamy and almost a little crumbly. It does glide on smoothly, which is nice.
Overall, would I purchase again? Probably not. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5.
Happy New Year! Today I am reviewing the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow in the shade Vintage Purple. It sells on Amazon for $5.40.
(This eyeshadow was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul.)
I was a little disappointed, as the shade on Amazon looked like a metallic lilac color. It ended up being a gray matte with the slightest hint of purple. But…
It turned out to be a really pretty, natural shade on me! It’s a dusky gray and really brings out the blue in my eyes.
I applied with my finger, and it wasn’t super creamy -it was almost tacky. But that’s a good thing in terms of cream eyeshadow. It means it will stay in place and last longer.
While it wasn’t what I expected, I ended up liking this eyeshadow. I will definitely get some use out of it!
Happy Holidays! I decided to wear a glam look today in celebration of Christmas.
Today’s starring makeup product is from a line I have already tried. I loved my NYX Matte Lipstick in Natural so much that I decided to try another shade -Perfect Red.
(This lipstick was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul post.)
I adore this shade! It’s a neutral red, and works great with my skin tone. It even works with my hair, which can be tricky to find. I definitely recommend!
According to the L’Oreal Website, the Rouge Signature Lip Ink is a “lightweight matte colored ink with a stain-like feel and the color impact of a liquid lipstick. It’s long-lasting wear with less texture and more color.”
I love the formula. It’s super lightweight and velvety -I could barely feel it on my lips. And yet, it lasted through five hours and one meal. Pretty impressive for a lip product!
I would love to try the Rouge Signature Lip Ink in different shades!
I found a new favorite eyeshadow! It’s the Revlon Color Stay Creme Eyeshadow in the shade Caramel. It costs only $5.09 on Amazon!
(This eyeshadow was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul.)
It’s an easy to apply metallic bronze and looks stunning. It’s perfect for a glam look like in this picture, or for a quick 5 minute makeup day. It comes with a built in brush that makes applying the eyeshadow stress free. I’m in love! ❤️❤️❤️
My Walmart now stocks NYX products, so I was excited to try out one of their matte lipsticks. I chose the shade Natural.
Natural is a pretty mauve color -one of my favorite lipstick shades to wear.
The formula is creamy and easy to work with. I like that it feels nice on the lips -it has a matte finish without being drying. It has a wear time of 5 hours as long as you don’t eat anything, like your typical lipstick.
One trick is to make your lipstick stay on longer is to blot your lips with a tissue after applying. This will create a pretty lip stain.
I’m excited to try more shades from this line!
You can buy the NYX Matte Lipstick in Natural for $2.99 on Amazon.
One of the newest additions to my makeup routine is using highlighter. I love the shine it gives to my cheekbones. Today’s post is about the Butter Highlighter by Physician’s Formula in the shade Pearl.
It’s a warm white color and looks natural on my skin tone. I love to use it on the high points of my cheekbones, right under my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes. It gives a natural glow. It’s not metallic or glittery which is nice for natural looks (although I like metallic highlights too.)
As you can tell, I have already hit pan on this highlighter, because I love it so much. ❤️ You can buy the Physician’s Formula Butter Highlighter in Pearl on Amazon for $4.38.
I recently bought a new lip product. It’s a classic -the Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me. I am a big fan of tinted lip balms so this is perfect for me. The color is a sheer pinky red, which is fun.
I love the slip to it. It’s moisturizing, without feeling sticky, goopy, waxy or greasy.
The only thing I wish it had was some SPF in the formula, but that’s okay. I can layer it with an SPF lip balm when going outside.
I decided to try a new step in my beauty routine -using a brow pencil! I went to Sephora, and a lovely associate helped me pick out a shade. We looked at several colors from different lines, and went with True Red from the Fenty Beauty Brow MVP line. It retails for $20 at Sephora.
I really like the product. The tip is nice and fine for penciling, and the formula is smooth and creamy. It blends well and looks very natural. I like the mini brush head on the other side. It helps smooth and blur the color.
The associate pointed toward a darker shade than I have worn in the past. While I’m not used to such a bold brow look, I think the shade matches perfectly. Below are two pictures – one inside and one outside, to show how my brows look in different lighting.
(Sorry about closing my eyes. It was bright outside!)
Overall, I am very pleased with my new brow pencil. I think it will look especially nice with bolder lipsticks.
If you are looking for a high quality brow pencil that comes in lots of shades, the Fenty Beauty Brow MVP is a great choice!
