My Drugstore Makeup Wishlist!

I thought it would be fun to put together a drugstore beauty wishlist for this 2019 Holiday Season. All items can be bought at Walmart.

The first item is the Physician’s Formula Powder Palette Blush in the shade: Blushing Rose. I like that it is a cool toned pink. It would pair well with a purple highlighter that I plan on purchasing in the future. You can buy it for $6.15 on Amazon, or $6.39 at Walmart.

I absolutely love this hair serum! It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product works as a leave-in conditioner, a balm to tame flyaways and a heat protectant. You can buy it for $22.54 on Amazon or $24.99 at Walmart.

Next is the Profusion Mattes Mini Artistry Eyeshadow Palette. The various shades of brown would go great with my blue eyes, and the pan sizes are generous. You can buy it for $5.95 on Amazon or $4.98 at Walmart.

The Maybelline Sensations Peach Poppy lipstick is next on my wishlist. I love peachy coral lipsticks, and this shade looks perfect for me. I love the creamy, satin feel of these lipsticks. You can buy it for $5.11 on Amazon or $6.99 at Walmart.

The NYX Love Lust Disco Let’s Groove eyeshadow palette caught my eye when I was at Walmart last trip. It has beautiful shades in bronze, gold, green, blue, silver and black that I would love to try. I hope the metallic shades are as pigmented as they look in the pan. You can buy it at Walmart for $9.98.

The Physician’s Formula Eye Booster Liquid Eyeliner in the shade: Deep Brown is last on my list. I am on the search for a brown liquid eyeliner, as it would look more natural on my fair skin. You can buy it on Amazon for $6.49 or at Walmart for $8.74.

I Adore…NYX Matte Lip in Natural!

My Walmart now stocks NYX products, so I was excited to try out one of their matte lipsticks. I chose the shade Natural.

Natural is a pretty mauve color -one of my favorite lipstick shades to wear.

The formula is creamy and easy to work with. I like that it feels nice on the lips -it has a matte finish without being drying. It has a wear time of 5 hours as long as you don’t eat anything, like your typical lipstick.

One trick is to make your lipstick stay on longer is to blot your lips with a tissue after applying. This will create a pretty lip stain.

I’m excited to try more shades from this line!

You can buy the NYX Matte Lipstick in Natural for $2.99 on Amazon.

XOXO,

Dana Maye 💚

Nice and Natural… Maybelline Baby Lips!

I recently bought a new lip product. It’s a classic -the Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me. I am a big fan of tinted lip balms so this is perfect for me. The color is a sheer pinky red, which is fun.

I love the slip to it. It’s moisturizing, without feeling sticky, goopy, waxy or greasy.

The only thing I wish it had was some SPF in the formula, but that’s okay. I can layer it with an SPF lip balm when going outside.

Makeup Worn:

  • L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation
  • Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer
  • Milani Silky Matte Bronzer
  • Milani Rose Powder Blush
  • CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara
  • Urban Decay 24 Hour Eyeliner
  • Two Faced Pineapple Paradise Highlight/Bronzer

November Beauty Buys

I am starting a new beauty review series, called Monthly Beauty Buys. Today’s November Beauty Buys features hair care, body wash and a couple of cosmetics.

(Note: This post is not sponsored, and all products were purchased myself. No affiliate codes are present either. As always, my opinions are my own.)

Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures Shampoo & Conditioner

Where: Walmart, $3.47 each

I have been using this duo for a week. So far, I love it! My hair is bouncy and shiny again. My scalp seems more balanced too – I can go a second day without my hair throwing a greasy fit. Since shampoos can be tricky, I will let you know what I think in a future empties post, once I finish it up.

Suave Essentials Milk & Honey Splash Body Wash

Where: Walmart, $1.88

I forgot how much I love Suave body wash! The price is great, and they smell fantastic. (As you can see, I am on a bit of a honey kick lately. ☺️) The one thing I will say is that the formula is very thin. I recommend using a washcloth or a loofah to make this body wash last longer.

L.A. Colors Contour Stick in Light

Where: Dollar Tree, $1

This was a surprise find! I chucked this little beauty in my shopping basket, not expecting much from it. I was surprised to find that it worked perfect as an under-eye concealer. In fact, it works better than my L’Oréal True Match Concealer (shade: n1)! I plan to go back and stock up on a few more.

Wet ‘N Wild Photofocus Foundation in Shell Ivory

Where: Walmart, $4.68

I bought this foundation mainly because I was being cheap. But, I was pleasantly surprised! It stays all day, and has good coverage. I also love that it isn’t too cakey, drying — or shiny.

I might try the fair-warm shade next time, instead of the fair-neutral. Although my skin is neutral toned, this formula leans a little too cool for my complexion.

That said, I think I found a new favorite!

L’Oréal Infallible Liquid Lipstick in Candy Man

Where: Walnart, $7.94

First off, this lipstick smells like chocolate pudding and brownies, which is ah-mazing!

Secondly, this is my all-time favorite formula for liquid lipstick. It stays on all day, and only slightly fades through meals. It isn’t drying, and looks fantastic.

You can read my in-depth review on the L’Oréal Infallible Liquid Lipstick.

That’s it for my November Beauty Buys post. Let me know if you have any products you would like me to try!
