Grow Your Garden with… Faulkner’s Market in Mandan!

Ben and I found a little gem of a shop on Memorial Highway here in Mandan! It’s a locally owned small business that sells seeds and starter plants for gardening.

We were blown away by the prices! They were much better than Lowes, Runnings and even Walmart! We were also impressed by the variety of plants.

We got a couple of sunsugar yellow cherry tomatoes, which are my favorite crop to grow!

We also got some raspberry and blackberry plants!

Their gladiolus bulbs were only $.65 each, which was a steal! Naturally, we snatched up several!

Lastly, we got a tray of 18 strawberry plants for $9.99!

If you live in the Bismarck/Mandan area, I definitely recommend checking our Faulkner’s Market. You won’t regret it!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today was probably one of my favorite birthdays ever!

We bought strawberry and raspberry and tomato plants for our garden!

Ben made steak for dinner!

I also got lots of fun presents, including this beautiful jade necklace.

Overall, it was a lovely day! 🥰

Spinning Class -My New Love!

I have been going to my local gym for the past 5 weeks, and am having a blast. I have tried out several fitness classes -cardio dance, pilates, barre, water aerobics, yoga and cycling/spinning. One of my favorite classes is spinning class!

The workout is super intense, but the endorphins I feel afterward are so worth it. I leave drenched -and happy. I feel proud of myself, knowing that I pushed myself and took care of my body.

A Few Tips:

  • Work your way into the class. Teachers will push you hard, and the class can be super competitive. Make sure, however, that you don’t push too hard, especially if you are just beginning. Injuries can happen if you work too hard too fast.
  • Have your instructor help you adjust your bike to your body. I didn’t do this, and my hand went numb as a result (my handlebar was too low, and I was placing all my weight on my hands.) Now, having the right settings, I am getting a more efficient workout, and my hands feel fine.
  • Bring a water bottle and stay hydrated!
  • Also, bring a hand towel to mop your face and keep the handlebars dry. You will sweat a lot.

If you are looking for an effective workout, cycling/spinning fitness class is a great choice!

Cute Dollar Tree Find!

I found this cute little notebook at Dollar Tree! ❤️🍣🍥🍣❤️ Dollar Tree has some great finds if you’re willing to look!

Sushi is one of my all-time favorite foods. I have fond memories of getting sushi with my dad, as well as with friends in college. I think food has a unique way of bringing people together. ❤️

I plan on using this notebook either as a journal once I have finished up my current one, or as a recipe book. Which use do you vote for? 🙂

Pamper Yourself with… Dr. Teal’s Glow & Radiance Foaming Bath!

Dr. Teal's Glow and Radiance Foaming Bubble Bath

Dr. Teal’s is one of my favorite brands for bath products. I especially love their Epsom salts. I decided to try one of their bubble bath bottles -I chose Glow & Radiance.

As far as bubble baths go, this bottle worked nicely. The bubbles were nice and frothy, and lasted for my entire bath. I loved the gentle citrus scent -it was nice & relaxing. The bubble bath moisturizing without causing any irritation (I have very sensitive skin.) It didn’t leave any residue on my skin or the tub, which was nice too.

I definitely recommend!

This was part of my Walmart Beauty Haul.

Pamper Yourself With … Freeman Watermelon Face Mask!

Freeman Feeling Beautiful Watermelon Face Mask.jpg

I love the smell of watermelon, so naturally I had to try this face mask! It’s the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Watermelon + Aloe Cooling Gel Mask. It’s supposed to help soothe and moisturize the skin.

First off, I was able to get 10 uses out of the packet. That’s a pretty good value, considering this mask cost $1.37 at Walmart! It has a generous half ounce of product.

I loved the smell. It was nice and light but still smelled like watermelon. Some artificial watermelon scents are too overpowering. This one was perfect.

It did leave my skin feeling nice and soft. So overall I was pleased!

This product was originally mentioned in my Walmart Beauty Haul blog post.

XOXO,

Dana Maye 💚
