I found this pencil to be easy to work with. It is nice and pigmented. It also glides across my lips instead of dragging. The lip liner is nice and creamy and blends well.

I think the overall result turned out nice!

Sparkle and Shine With… Pacifica Ice Baby Highlighter!

Pacifica Ice Baby Highlighter 1.jpg

I found a new highlighter Pacifica Highlighter in the shade: Ice Baby. You can buy it for $6.99 on Amazon. Pacifica is a natural brand that makes vegan and cruelty free products.

(This highlighter was part of my Amazon Beauty Haul.)

Pacifica Ice Baby Highlighter 2

It’s definitely more subtle than the Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter. If you look closely, it has a slight pink sheen, which isn’t noticable in the pan. I love this shade and will be using it often!

I’m In Love With… Maybelline Sensational Copper Spark Lipstick!

Maybelline Sensationals Copper Spark Lipstick 1

I wanted to try a metallic lipstick, so I picked up this fun shade. It’s the Maybelline Sensational Matte Metallics Lipstick in Copper Spark. You can buy it on Amazon for $5.64.

(This lipstick was part of my Walmart Beauty Haul.)

Maybelline Sensationals Copper Spark Lipstick 2

It’s a beautiful burnt orange – copper hybrid, and I love the color. I think it pairs well with my hair.

It doesn’t have a long wear time – it only lasted about three hours when I wore it. That said, this would be fun to wear to an event or for pictures. I love this lipstick!

I Tried… Freeman Matcha Icecream Face Mask!

When I saw this face mask at the store, I had to try it out! I’m a softie for any skincare with a food-related name.

Today I am reviewing the Freeman Melting Sugar Matcha Ice Cream Face Mask. This was part of my Walmart Beauty Haul blog post.

This face mask is supposed to clear pores and firm the skin. So, I decided to put it to the test.

The face mask had a jelly like texture when I applied it, and smelled delicious. I left it on for the recommended 10 minutes and then rinsed it off.

So the real question is… did it work? Well… sort of. My skin did feel soft and looked firmer. But my pores didn’t look any different, which was the main selling point. It does smell amazing… Would I buy it again? Maybe, as a hydrating face mask.

I was able to get two uses out of the face mask packet. It cost $1.32 at Walmart.

What I Think About … ELF Makeup Brushes!

ELF Bronzing Makeup Brush

I bought 3 elf blushes from Walmart. This first one is a bronzing brush. It works great for contouring my cheekbones. This one costs $2 at Walmart.

ELF Crease Makeup Brush.jpg

The next brush is a crease brush. This is a game changer! It picks up the perfect amount of product and applies to my eye crease – nowhere else. This helps give a crispness to the look. The crease brush is my favorite of the 3. This brush is $3 at Walmart.

ELF Blending Makeup Brush

The next is a blending brush. As an eyeshadow brush, I wasn’t impressed. I don’t feel like it did a good job smoothing my eyeshadow together. But as a highlighter brush, it worked great! This ELF brush is $4 at Walmart.

Overall, I am pretty impressed!

My Secret Weapon… Aquaphor Healing Ointment!

Aquaphor Advanced Healing Ointment

With the harsh winters in North Dakota, my hands become cracked and chapped very quickly. I have tried several products, and found a clear winner -Aquaphor Advanced Therapy Healing Ointment.

The ointment has no fragrance or dyes, which can irritate chapped skin. Unlike a lotion that quickly sinks into the skin, this ointment is greasy and takes a while to sink in. Don’t let this deter you though. It really works!

It takes only a couple days to restore my hands to good condition, and works great as a preventative measure. I like to apply it at night before I go to bed.

This may not be the most glamorous product to review, but sometimes you need a workhouse product to do the job. If your hands get chapped like mine, definitely try this out!

You can get the ointment on Amazon for $6.33.

Keep Your Lips Smooth with… Eco Lips Brown Sugar Lip Scrub!

Eco Lips Brown Sugar Lip Scrub

I bought a new lip scrub at Walmart! It is the Eco Lips Brown Sugar Lip Scrub. You can buy it from Walmart for $5.97.

I like that it comes in a stick form, rather than in a jar. It makes application easier and a lot less messy.

It tastes like maple syrup, which is a fun flavor twist. Most lip scrubs I have tried taste like mint. I will admit that makes me hungry for pancakes! πŸ˜‚

It definitely does a good job of removing dead skin and leaving my lips nice and moisturized. I give this product a 5 out of 5!

My Favorite Foundation… L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear!

L'Oreal Infallible Freshwear Foundation in Ivory.jpg

When it comes to foundation I am very picky. But, I have found the Holy Grail! I am now on my third bottle, I love this stuff so much!

Today I am reviewing the L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation. You can buy it on Ulta for $14.99.

This foundation is medium coverage, but can build to full coverage. I love that I can build it in certain areas that need it, and keep the rest of my face at medium coverage. It is lightweight feeling and doesn’t emphasize the texture of my skin.

It has thirty shades, which is nice. I originally was wearing Rose Ivory, but went a shade lighter to Ivory, to better match my neck.

It lasts several hours, which is great too. It doesn’t last as long as the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation, but is a lot less drying. If you have combination-dry or dry skin like me, the Infallible Fresh Wear foundation is a great choice!

Add A Pop Of Color With… Revlon Color Stay Sapphire Eyeliner!

Revlon ColorStay Sapphire Eyeliner 1.jpg

I have been having fun trying colored eyeliners. They add a fun pop to the overall look. Today I am reviewing the CoverGirl Color Stay Eyeliner in the shade Sapphire. You can buy it on Amazon for $4.49.

(This eyeliner was part of my Walmart Beauty Haul.)

Revlon ColorStay Sapphire Eyeliner 2

The color is more of an electric blue than a navy, which I like. It did take some time to build up, as the color is a little lighter. But I think the eyeliner is fun. It would also look good with black eyeliner on the eyelid and the blue eyeliner on the lower lash line.

I Tried… Freeman Neon Vibes Peel Off Face Mask!

Freeman Neon Vibes Face Mask

It’s face mask time! Today I am talking about the Freeman Neon Vibes Peel Off Face Mask. This mask was part of a Walmart Beauty Haul post I wrote.

When I saw this face mask at the store, I noticed that it was a peel off mask. I have never used one before, so I was intrigued.

When I applied it, the face mask liquid was sticky, and hard to put on. It applied as a pastel orange color, instead of neon, like I was expecting. That’s probably good, as the dye might have stained my face. I then left it on for the recommended 10 minutes.

It did clean up my pores, like it claimed to. But, about five minutes after rinsing my face, my skin became red and irritated. Now, I have sensitive skin. So if your skin is pretty tolerant, this face mask may be great for you. But if you’re like me… πŸ‘Ž

It had about two uses of product in the packet, but I decided not to chance any further skin reactivity.

So, do I recommend? Definitely not. At least it was only $1.32 at Walmart.

XOXO,

Dana Maye πŸ’š
