This Thanksgiving, I have been thinking a lot about gratitude, and the effect it has had on my life. I had a 7 Things I Am Grateful series going on for a while on this blog, and I have really enjoyed it. Taking the time each week to think about how I had been blessed that week was really uplifting.
I came across this quote, and it really touched me. I struggle with anxiety, and some days are harder than others. And while treating anxiety takes more than wishful thinking, thinking positively is a huge part of it. I think it is so true that when I focus on what I have been given, I am able to see the world in a better light. And when I am grateful, I feel secure. I feel peaceful. I feel safe. So I can see how gratitude can help banish fear and help me to see the abundance all around me.
