For making my weight loss goal of losing 35 pounds, I had a bunch of money set aside for buying new clothes. And when my awesome sister Heather told me about a Down East Warehouse sale going on, I had to jump on it! Once a year in Rexburg, the Down East store opens up shop in a different location with really low prices. This year, layering t-shirts and accessories are $3, and everything else from sweaters to coats to dresses to pants are $5. I came out of there with lots of treasures! In total, I bought 3 dresses, 1 scarf, 2 sweaters, 4 skirts, and 8 layering tees. I paid a total of $77, which for 18 items is pretty crazy. And the original value retailed at about $339! So, I got everything for about 77% off! How cool is that?
I am really excited about all of these shirts. I love Down East shirts, but am a cheap skate and don’t like paying $10 a shirt. At $3 a shirt -basically thrift store price -I had to get a whole bunch. If you noticed, I didn’t buy any teal or turquoise in the is entire haul. I’m pretty proud of myself for that. 🙂
I love all four skirts that I got, but my favorite is a pleated synthetic leather skirt. I have wanted to own a pair of leather pants or a leather skirt for quite some time now, but didn’t know how to find a modest fit. Well, this full a-line pleated skirt does the job nicely. 🙂
I love the eggplant and black striped sweater. It’s so cute and comfy. I also like the brown cardigan -it has a capelet silhouette, which is fun to wear, and almost like a blanket. 🙂 And I love the three dresses I got! The green one is the perfect color, and looks fantastic on me! It’s almost as if I got it tailored to fit just right!
That, my friends, is the end of my haul. I promise to have to outfit posts off soon, so you can see what they look like in me. Yay for modest fashion!
Oh, and if you are in the Rexburg area and want to check out the sale, it is next to the Dollar Tree on S. 2nd E. 🙂
