Today was a bad hair day. And when I mean bad hair, I mean “I’m ready to pull a Brittney and shave my head” bad hair day. My once red hair has lately been a brassy orange, which I have hated. So many people said, “But, oh, I love it!” Well, I didn’t. And since it’s my hair, and I have to live with it 24/7, I decided to do something about it. Thanks to my wonderful friend Jessica Gross, my hair is now a much darker red, which looks natural, and actually complements my skin tone. Sigh. 🙂 Here’s the before and after pictures, so you can see the difference, and why I’m so happy. 🙂
And here’s the product I used: One ‘n Only Argan Oil Hair Color, in Light Tangerine Brown (5RG). I also used the One ‘N Only Argan Oil Hair Color Cream Developer (20 Volume). I bought them at Sally Beauty Supply, a store catering towards Professional Cosmetologists. I’m very happy with the results. My hair is soft and shiny, and I just love it. Now, as you can see in the picture below, the hair color it’s meant to be is a lot less red. Because my hair has natural red and gold highlights, that showed through the color. So, if you are a blond or brunette attempting to get this hair color, I would recommend a different hair color (maybe the Light Tangerine Blonde in 8RG). A helpful associate recommended the right level of developer, which was nice.
And, Jessica dyed my hair for me! The stuff smells not so great, but that’s typical of hair dye. And my experience was much more pleasant My Experience With Henna. It was horrid trying to work with clumpy, goopy henna, which left my hair unevenly colored. with this stuff, it dyed perfectly even, though I had two levels of hair -previously treated, and a new layer of virgin hair. This product gets a 5 out of 5!
